Krylon Fusion

Having found Alcaron's blog about changing his Xbox 360 Controller to black, I decided and try that on my Universal Remote. Went to Advance Auto Parts and they had the stuff Alcaron suggested but I tried Krylon Fusion and found out that it's not so good. I mean it sticks on plastic with no problem but it seems to Spray Paintish if you know what I mean. You can just take a fingernail and mark on it. Though at this point in time it has only been done for at least 5 hours, but still. I will mess with it try the scratch test in a day or so and maybe then. Who knows.

How did you take the remote apart? I want to do this with the dupli-color vinyl I picked up (worked great on my controllers) but I can't get the thing apart without damaging it!

Take the battery lid thingy off and there is a sticker below the batteries(not under the batteries) Take that sticker off and unscrew the screw under it.. After that, get a mini flat head and along the side slowly lift it up. It is held on by clips. Now I did do a "little" damage to the side but not enough to be noticeable. And I actually broke one of the holes the clips snap to but that was because I went in too deep and lifted the mini screw driver too high (by going in the hole and lifting)and broke it. But you can't tell it when its back together and isn't a problem. If you need more help, send me an email or post here.

I would of responded sooner.. i just didnt think anyone would of found my blog ;-)
